Description

Doepfer's fourfold formant filter, as used in Oskar Sala's Mixtur-Trautonium: four resonant filters in parallel, each switchable to low pass, band pass or off, with frequency, resonance and level set by hand for each.

Key features

  • Four parallel resonant filters, each switched to band pass, off or low pass (Mode)
  • Per filter: frequency (about 50 Hz to 5 kHz), resonance and output level, all manual (no voltage control)
  • A common audio input with its level control; the inputs are sensitive, so distortion can be used on purpose
  • Made to reproduce the vocal-like resonances of the Trautonium, with the A-113 Subharmonic Generator and the A-198 Trautonium Manual
