- Two separate ring modulators in one 4 HP module, each with X and Y inputs and an X*Y output
- Four-quadrant multiplication: responds to positive and negative voltages at both inputs, unlike a VCA
- Cancels the carrier frequencies and passes only the side bands (sum and difference frequencies)
- For bell-like sounds, alien voices or new timbres
- Inputs for audio levels up to 10 Vpp; higher levels clip
