A-119 External Input / Envelope Follower

Doepfer's external input: a preamp that brings line, microphone or guitar signals into the modular, with an envelope follower and a comparator that turn them into an envelope and a gate.

Key features

• Asym. In, unbalanced (3.5 mm), for line level signals: gain 0 to 20
• Symm. In, balanced (6.3 mm stereo jack), for a microphone or a guitar: gain 0 to 500
• Two linked Audio Out sockets for the amplified signal, and an Over-Load LED beyond 10 V
• Envelope Out: the signal rectified and smoothed by a 50 Hz low pass, shown by its LED
• Gate Out: high while the envelope is above the Thres. threshold, shown by its LED
• Standard (aluminium) or Vintage Edition (black) panel
