A-137-2 Wave Multiplier II
Voltage controlled wave multiplier
Panel · 71.1 × 128.5 mm
Description
Doepfer's second wave multiplier: it makes four shifted copies of a VCO's sawtooth, triangle or sine and adds them to the original, for a fat sound close to five detuned VCOs.
Key features
- Four shift units, each comparing the input with its own control voltage
- Each shift set by hand (Man.) and by a CV input with its attenuator (CV1 to CV4)
- Modulate the shifts with LFOs, random voltages, envelopes or sequencers
- Level sets the balance between the original signal and the shifted ones
- Works on sloped waveforms (sawtooth, triangle, sine), not on rectangle or pulse
- Based on a circuit published by the French edition of Elektor in 1982
