Quadraphonic processor: four VCAs and their modulators
Panel · 50.8 × 128.5 mm
Description
A 10 HP quadraphonic processor (discontinued): four analogue VCAs driven by four modulators, to move a sound round four speakers, pan two stereo signals, or morph between four sources at its SUM output.
Key features
- Six modes: quadrature sine and square LFOs, granuliser, decays, attacks and random; six more held on MODE: XY, polarity, stereo, stereo VCAs, quad volumes and quad VCAs
- Six configurations, the path the sound takes: circle, infinite, eight, left/right, front/back and diagonal
- TIME: speed and direction of the rotation, frozen at noon; DEPTH: from a constant gain to full modulation
- SYNC: resets the modulators, or clocks them; TIME+ for slower modulations
- CV OUT: the modulation's distance, angle, X, Y, first channel or mean; SUM: the four outputs mixed
- Bipolar CV inputs for TIME, DEPTH, MODE and CNFG; IN 1 normalised to IN 2, 3 and 4, IN 2 to IN 4
