Lunar Module

An Apollo mission communicator: it recreates the ground to space and space to ground transmissions of the Apollo era from a microphone or any audio. Mission Control mode frames each message with the 2,525 Hz and 2,475 Hz Quindar tones, from a Hartley LC transistor oscillator, and narrows the bandwidth; Astronaut mode adds coloured noise, distortion, bandwidth reduction and either hum or LGM tuned noise, each set by its own knob. Both modes run from a latching switch, a push to talk button or a gate, the signal path built on 1960s style discrete transistor circuits.
