Ring SM

A ring modulator, two sub bass generators and a mixer. The ring modulator is a vintage, discrete transistor four quadrant multiplier with three inputs, X, Y and a more resonant Z, and a switch that doubles the frequency, an octave up from a single triangle or sine. The two sub bass generators track the X input one and two octaves down with shaped waves, from rounded trapezoids to near sines, softer than square subs. A five input DC coupled mixer, after the early 1970s CP3 design, takes the ring modulator, X, Y and both subs by default, or any signal patched in; its fifth input runs hotter and clips, asymmetrically once a DC offset is added.
