Snare and hi-hat voice
Panel · 40.6 × 128.5 mm
Description
A snare and hi-hat voice built round a ring modulator, which usually takes the noise source and the VCO; IN feeds it another signal, another VCO's for instance. A trigger drives an envelope follower that sweeps the VCO, by ENV FOL, and a VCA whose DECAY has its own CV. CV FREQ modulates the VCO (not 1 V/octave).
Key features
- TRIG, IN (into the ring modulator), CV DECAY and CV FREQ in; OUT
- ENV FOL, NOISE, CV DECAY, FREQ and DECAY knobs
- No lamp: the NLC panel has no hole for the circuit's LED, as the build guide says
- 8 HP; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel), and ModularGrid lists none
