Bard Quartet Expand
MIDI and gate expander for the Bard Quartet
Panel · 10.2 × 128.5 mm
Description
The Bard Quartet's 2 HP expander: a TRS MIDI input and the MIDI button that sets each channel's MIDI mode, plus a trigger output and a gate input of their own for channels 2, 3 and 4 (the Bard Quartet's own TRIG OUT and GT IN then serve channel 1). Over MIDI, channels 1 to 4 each follow their own MIDI channel: as a live control of their scale, as a MIDI-to-CV/Gate converter, or as a converter whose notes go through the quantizer.
Key features
- MIDI IN on a 3.5 mm TRS jack, Type A with the jumper at its back horizontal (a Type A adapter comes with it)
- MIDI button: three MIDI modes per channel, kept in the Bard Quartet's memory
- T OUT2-4 and GT IN2-4: each channel its own trigger output and gate input
- Linked to the Bard Quartet by a 2x4 pin cable (firmware 1.1 or later)
- Skiff friendly, 40 mm deep
