Description
The stereo effects processor at the top of Erica Synths' Black Series, retired: a Spin FV-1 chip running 16 custom effects designed with Erica's rider KODEK and Gary Worsham, the creator of the SpinCAD software, delays, reverbs, a flanger and a chorus. Replaced by the Black Hole DSP 2.
Key features
- PATCH chooses one of the bank's eight effects, BANK switches between the two banks; the 7-segment display shows the effect's number, its dot lit in the second bank
- PRAM1 and PRAM2 set each effect's two parameters; DRY/WET mixes the input and the effect
- RATE lowers the clock rate, for tape echo like vintage sounds or a noisy bitcrush
- CV inputs for PATCH, RATE, DRY/WET, PARAM1 and PARAM2
- Stereo inputs and outputs, L/MONO IN normalled to R IN; an audio clipping lamp
- External effect boards (sold separately); the Black CV Expander connects at the back
