Description
WMD's dual-layer hi-hat: two sample surfaces blended together, A played from a memory card and fully under CV, B baked into the module and kept away from CV as the steady layer, with filters, a release envelope, onboard effects and a Feel engine that grooves the velocity. Designed by AMMT (Alex Anderson, Mason Malvinni, William Mathewson, Matt Tanner), released by WMD in November 2025 with the AMMT logo kept on the panel.
Key features
- Surface A: 8 banks of 16 closed/open sample pairs on the memory card, your own samples too (16-bit, 48 kHz, mono)
- Surface B: 9 built-in pairs (drum machine, real, shaker, tambourine, noise hats), crossfaded with A by the A / B control
- Release, release offset and balance between open and closed hits; high-pass and low-pass filters on the output
- Eight effects (distortions, comb filter, DJ filter, dub echo, chorus, reverb, glitch), the BANK / HOLD FX button lit in each one's colour
- Feel: eight editable velocity patterns; CV ON / OFF to snap back to the knob settings
- CLSD and OPEN trigger inputs, an accent that fires both, a CHOKE input, and six CV inputs including velocity
