CMOSC

Six CMOS drone oscillators that switch each other

Nonlinearcircuits · 8 HP · 3U

Panel · 40.6 × 128.5 mm

Description

The 8 HP update of the 4U CMOSC: six oscillators, each switching between two frequencies set by one knob (alike at mid-travel, apart towards either end). Each one switches its neighbour (1 to 2, ... 6 to 1) through the switching pins of the input jacks, until a cable breaks the chain. A SYNC/HOLD input acts on all: a gate halts them, an audio-rate signal drags them along. ALL OUT sums the six, noisy and raw; each output swings about ±5 V.

Key features

  • Six oscillators: a switching input, an output and a knob each
  • SYNC/HOLD in, ALL OUT
  • 8 HP; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel), and ModularGrid lists none
