Description
In the West Coast philosophy of synthesis, one oscillator modulating another is a classic way of creating rich timbres. The Complex Oscillator pairs a master oscillator with a voltage-controlled waveshaper — blending sine to square to saw to folded sine — with a modulation oscillator offering triangle, square and sawtooth outputs. Both oscillators use analog triangle cores with discrete transistor exponential converters, and provide linear and exponential FM inputs plus a trimmed 1V/octave input, for FM and AM synthesis.
