Divine CMOS
CMOS divider, XOR ring modulator and pattern generator
Panel · 40.6 × 128.5 mm
Description
A slimmed-down Eurorack version of the 4U Divine CMOS. It divides two input signals by 2, 4, 8 and 16, XORs the divisions and mixes them into its output: at audio rates a thick sub-harmonic ring modulation, best from two slightly beating VCOs; at LFO rates a complex CV pattern. The divisions' gates are on the panel, and a slewed copy of the output works as an envelope follower when the inputs are switched by VCAs.
Key features
- IN1 and IN2 in; OUT, SLEW OUT and the /2, /4, /8 and /16 gates out
- /2, /4, /8 and /16 knobs mix the divisions into OUT; SLEW sets SLEW OUT's slew
- One bipolar lamp
- 8 HP; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel), and ModularGrid lists none
