Description
The ACL Dual State Variable VCF holds two 12 dB multimode filters, A and B, each with lowpass, bandpass, highpass and notch outputs, controlled separately or together. The FILTER ROUTING switches set them in parallel or in series; in series, the LP/HP knob moves the signal filter B receives from A from lowpass through notch to highpass, and it also sweeps the NOTCH output between LP and HP. CUTOFF A/B shifts both cutoffs at once, and the CV inputs for cutoff and resonance have attenuverters. All audio and CV inputs are normalised from filter A to B, so a single input drives both. Used as two parallel filters it gives stereo effects on mono signals, from sweeping panoramas to wide stereo images.
