EDU DIY Drum Sequencer
mki x es.EDU four-channel drum sequencer kit
Panel · 172.7 × 128.5 mm
Description
A drum sequencer of the mki x es.EDU series, Erica Synths' collaboration with Moritz Klein, that takes the opposite way to most: no microcontroller, a handful of logic chips and a minimalist interface. Each of its four channels is programmed in real time with a single key, its pattern looping, shortened on the fly or played at half time; two synced analog LFOs handle accents, and a resistor DAC turns each pattern into stepped voltages.
Key features
- Four channels of 16 steps, reducible to 12 or 7, one key each
- Half-time mode per channel, gate and CV outputs per channel
- Two syncable analog LFOs for accents
- Internal clock with 16th, 8th and quarter note outputs, external clock input
- 34 HP, 27 mA on +12 V and 20 mA on -12 V
