Mutant Clap
Hexinverter analogue handclap
Panel · 66 × 128.5 mm
Description
Hexinverter's analogue handclap, made by Erica Synths: the clap of the TR-909 with more range, which doubles as a voltage-controlled noise oscillator.
Key features
- Analogue handclap synthesis reminiscent of the 909, from plain 909 claps to broken, chiptune-like sounds
- A voltage-controlled LFSR noise oscillator with a Commodore 64 character, on the NOISE output with PITCH CV
- Built-in reverb derived from the clap tone: its decay shapes the clap, under voltage control
- External input to make claps from any sound, and a choice of internal or external noise for the reverb
- DRIVE from clean to heavily overdriven, and a band-pass filter CUTOFF
- 29 mA on +12 V, 25 mA on -12 V, 20 mm deep
