Dual chaos sample and hold with voltage-controlled slew
Panel · 40.6 × 128.5 mm
Description
A dual sample and hold with voltage-controlled slew on each channel, sampling a jerk chaos circuit running at about 300 Hz: something like the Buchla 265 Source of Uncertainty, with chaos for its source instead of white noise. CLOCK 2 takes CLOCK 1 with nothing patched, so one clock drives both channels. STEPPED OUT always samples the chaos; S&H and SMOOTH OUT sample IN, or the chaos with nothing in IN. The chaos signals come from different points of the circuit, so a single clock gives six different chaos signals.
Key features
- Two channels, each with IN, SMOOTH CV and CLOCK in, S&H, SMOOTH OUT and STEPPED OUT out
- SMOOTH and CV knobs on each, the slew and its CV's amount
- A bipolar lamp on each
- 8 HP; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel), and ModularGrid lists none
