meloDICER

A stochastic pattern generator and quantizer in 34 HP: it rolls rhythms and melodies from the probabilities you set, plays them on and on or repeats them as a pattern, and quantizes incoming CV to a scale.

Key features

• NOTE VALUE and VARIATION set the rhythm's base note and how far it strays, LEGATO and REST how notes tie and fall silent
• Twelve faders give each note of the scale its probability, RANGE sets the melody's lowest and highest note
• DICE RHYTHM and DICE MELODY roll a new pattern of either; LOCK holds the current one
• 16 pattern memories; the encoder moves the pattern's start and end, its ring of sixteen lamps shows them
• Four modes: sequencer, sequencer + gate, quantizer, quantizer + gate
• Two CV and two gate inputs, each assignable in EDIT mode (the table printed on the panel)
• Internal clock, tap tempo or CLK IN at 1, 4 or 24 PPQN, or MIDI clock through the MEX3 expander
