Mix 3

A mixer and four VCAs in 6 HP. Each of the three main channels has a knob with an exponential response, which suits audio, and every signal path is DC-coupled, so control voltages can be mixed as well. Three CV inputs put the channel levels under voltage control, up to +20 dB of gain; once a CV input is patched, its channel knob becomes a CV attenuator. A fourth, direct input joins the mix, and the output level takes its own control voltage. When pushed into clipping, Mix 3 clips cleanly and symmetrically, adding only odd harmonics, so it also works as a triple voltage controlled distortion. Each channel has an audio indicator LED, and a jumper sets the output to line level.
