Morphagene

The Morphagene is a tape and microsound music module, designed with Tom Erbe of Soundhack: it records stereo sound into reels on a microSD card, cuts them into splices, and plays them back as genes, small pieces whose size, speed and overlap reshape the sound. GENE-SIZE sets the piece, SLIDE travels through the splice, MORPH staggers and stacks the genes, VARI-SPEED sets speed and direction, ORGANIZE picks the next splice, S.O.S. mixes the live input with the loop. REC, SPLICE and SHIFT, each with a lit button and a gate input, record, cut and step through splices; CLK syncs it, and CV OUT follows the output's energy.
