Variable spectrum harmonic cluster oscillator
Panel · 121.9 × 128.5 mm
Description
An additive oscillator in 24 HP: up to 2560 sinusoidal partials, shaped by their number, their spectral tilt and a comb-like response (density, warp, peaking), harmonic or inharmonic by tension, with 1, 3 or 5 detuned voices. Odd and even partials come out apart, split in banks and frequency-scaled by a harmonic factor, beside a fundamental output; twelve multicolour lamps show the spectrum. V/oct, exponential and through-zero linear FM, CV over every parameter, and the Hel polyphony expander.
Key features
- PARTIALS from 1 to 512 per voice, SPECTRAL TILT from dull to bright
- Comb response: DENSITY, WARP (linear to phaser-like), PEAKING (narrow notches to wide)
- TENSION bends the partials from harmonic to sparse or clustered
- BANK LENGTH and HARMONIC FACTOR split and scale the partials between ODD and EVEN outputs
- VOICES: 1, 3 or 5 voices detuned by SPREAD; Leibniz control of the partial groups
- COARSE and FINE, PITCH CV V/OCT, EXP FM and through-zero LIN FM with their lit sliders
