Optomix

The Optomix is a dual low pass gate built on vactrols, controlling both the amplitude and the tone of a signal the way the Buchla 292 did. Each channel has a signal input, a CONTROL input with its combo pot, a DAMP input with its combo pot that shapes the gate's response, and a STRIKE input that plucks the vactrol for percussive sounds without an envelope. Channel 1's output is normalled to channel 2's input; an AUX input joins both channels at the SUM output, so Optomixes chain into larger mixers.
