Description
Mutable Instruments' resonator: three physical models of resonating structures, modal resonator, sympathetic strings and non-linear string, played through its audio input or its internal exciter, monophonic or with up to four polyphonic voices.
Key features
- Three resonator models: modal resonator (as in Elements), sympathetic strings, and a string with non-linearity or dispersion
- 1, 2 or 4 polyphonic voices, a new voice allocated on each note change at the V/OCT input
- Structure, Brightness, Damping (100 ms to 10 s) and Position, each voltage controlled through an attenuverter
- Audio input up to 16 Vpp; internal exciter fired by the STRUM input
- ODD and EVEN outputs: odd and even partials in monophonic mode, alternate notes in polyphonic mode
- Made from December 2015 to April 2022; the design is open source
