Sextuple clock divider
Panel · 40.6 × 128.5 mm
Description
An 8 HP sextuple clock divider from Shakmat's first series: six dividers in two columns, A and B, each with its own knob for its division factor and its activity lamp, and four three-position switches giving 81 routings: odd time signatures, weird division and multiplication ratios, polyrhythms.
Key features
- Six dividers: A1 and B4 from 1 to 8, A2 and A3 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, B5 and B6 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128
- MULTI A: the A column's clock multiplied by 3 or 4 (triplets from a 16th clock, ratios like 3/7)
- CLOCK B: B5 and B6 clocked by B4, or the whole B column clocked from the RST / IN B input
- LOGIC A2: A2's output as A2 AND B5, or A2 OR A3
- RESET B6: B6 resets the A column, or both columns
- A jumper on the back sets B5 and B6 to half period gates instead of triggers
- Clock and reset inputs, 0 to 5 V; discontinued
