Description
The first Z8000, a brushed aluminium panel with black cartouches: a matrix of sixteen knobs read by ten sequencers at once.
Key features
- Four 4-step sequencers along the rows (CV1 to CV4) and four down the columns (CVA to CVD)
- A 16-step sequencer across the rows and another down the columns
- Each of the ten sequencers has its own reset, direction and clock inputs
- The clocks of each group of four are normalled one to the next, so one clock can drive the four
- Lamps between the knobs show the steps: red for the 4-step sequencers, green for the 16-step ones, yellow where they meet
- Steps up to audio rate; one knob can move all ten CV outputs
