An 8 HP stereo 4-pole (24 dB/oct) state variable voltage controlled filter with five frequency responses, three at a time: 24 dB/oct high pass and low pass, and a band pass set by the BP CONFIG switch (+18/-6, +12/-12 or +6/-18 dB/oct). Smooth and clean unless overdriven, it does not self-oscillate. A mono signal at the left input becomes a stereo pair through a phase shifting network; SPREAD moves the two channels' cutoff apart. The big CUTOFF FREQ knob sweeps 10 Hz to 20 kHz, FM 1 through an attenuverter (-2 to +2 oct/V, centre detent), FM 2 at 1 V/oct. The RESONANCE slider lights up as the output's peaks exceed the input's.
