Cabling

  • env out to pulser 2
  • env out to modulation oscillator 2
  • seq to complex oscillator 3
  • complex oscillator 5 to modulation oscillator 4
  • dual lo pass gate 1 to complex oscillator 4
  • mod out to dual lo pass gate 3

Notes

An instrument driven by an outside sound: plug a microphone or another source into AUX IN and set the preamp GAIN for it (the chart says "set accordingly"). The envelope detector's ENV OUT moves the pulser's period and the modulation oscillator's frequency; the modulation oscillator's MOD CV OUT drives gate 2's level. The sequencer moves the complex oscillator's timbre, a random voltage its pitch, and the envelope generator, triggered by the sequencer, opens gate 1. The chart leaves the five sequencer levels, the STAGES and PULSE SEQUENCE switches free: set them by ear. No keyboard needed.
