1U Diff-Rect
A difference rectifier: the difference of two inputs, split into its positive and negative parts
Panel · 30.5 × 39.7 mm
Description
One of its maker's favourite circuits, the difference rectifier of the Neuron, the 1050 Mixer Sequencer, the Triple Sloth and GENiE, eight of which make up Let's Splosh, on a 1U panel. It takes IN- from IN+: one output gives the difference where it is positive and 0 V otherwise, the other where it is negative and 0 V otherwise (the maker's formulas, diode drops ignored). It is great for mixing audio and CV signals into all kinds of unexpected and interesting results.
Key features
- Two inputs, IN+ and IN-
- Two outputs, one in the gold square at the top and one below it: the positive and the negative part of the difference (the panel does not print which is which)
- Two 3 mm LEDs
- 6 HP, 1U Intellijel format; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel)
