1U Sloth Chaos
A slow chaotic circuit in 1U, built as Torpor, Apathy or Inertia
Panel · 30.5 × 39.7 mm
Description
The Sloth chaos circuit on a 1U panel. It comes in the three variations of the Triple Sloth, on the same PCB and the same panel, built with other resistors and capacitors: Torpor, Apathy and Inertia, the product page giving them orbits of about 15 to 20 seconds, 1 to 3 minutes and 15 to 20 minutes. Its two outputs are drawn from different stages of the circuit and differ from each other. The input injects a signal into the circuit: some signals have no effect, others cause periodicity at different stages, others alter the chaotic orbits; very slow sine waves work well. Nothing need be patched in: the sloth happily meanders along on its own.
Key features
- Three variations on the same PCB and panel: Torpor, Apathy, Inertia
- An input, IN, and two outputs, OUT and OUT, from different stages of the circuit
- A bipolar 3 mm LED
- 6 HP, 1U Intellijel format; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel)
