Description

Doepfer's Xtreme Filter, after the Korg MS20 filter: a Sallen-Key filter with separate low pass and high pass inputs, adjustable clipping in its resonance loop and a loop insert, for extreme and experimental sounds rather than smooth ones.

Key features

  • Separate LP and HP audio inputs with level controls (HP Lev. as a polarizer), normalled LP In to HP In; both together give band pass and notch
  • Frequency set by hand and by three CV inputs, CV2 with its attenuator and CV3 with a polarizer (-10 to +10)
  • Resonance (Res.) up to self-oscillation; CL+ and CL- set the positive and negative clipping in the resonance loop
  • Res. Insert: send and return to put another module (a VCA, a waveshaper, a phaser...) inside the resonance loop
  • Two A-106-1 in series, one in LP and one in HP, give the filter section of the original MS20
