A-106-5 SEM VCF

Doepfer's 12 dB multimode filter based on the filter circuit of the Oberheim SEM, with a band pass output and a low pass / high pass output whose balance goes through a notch. Standard version.

Key features

• 12 dB SEM-type multimode filter; unlike most A-100 filters it does not self-oscillate
• BP Out, and LP/HP Out whose Mix control goes from low pass through notch (centre) to high pass
• Frequency set by hand and by two CV inputs, CV1 without attenuator and CV2 with a polarizer (-5 to +5)
• Audio input with its level control (Lev.): from about half-way with A-100 signals the filter distorts
• Works like the A-124 Wasp filter, with a very different sound
