CP88 Hand Clap BPF
TR-808 hand clap, its panel with BPF and DECAY
Panel · 50.8 × 128.5 mm
Description
The Concussor's TR-808 hand clap as the 2007 manual draws it, in discrete analogue circuitry: the clap, about three staccato bursts of noise, then its reverb, a soft filtered noise decaying more slowly.
Key features
- BPF (the clap's filter), SNAPPY (the clap's level: its range is squashed into its lower half, past half way the noise is constant), DECAY (the reverb's) and LEVEL
- TRIG input, 5 to 12 V: a trigger or a gate of 5 V at least, a taller pulse accents the hit
- ACC input, 0 to 12 V: once patched, its voltage sets the level of each hit
- TRIG LED; two outputs of the same sound, 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm; +/-12 V and +5 V, 10 HP
