Description

An 8 HP bass drum synthesizer, from an original design by Marc Nostromo: DECAY, PITCH, DEPTH (the pitch envelope's decay), CLICK (the pitch envelope's amount) and DRIVE, mapped for sweet spots at every setting, from long sub-bass drums to aggressive techno kicks. Two drives, a two-stage wavefolder (green) or a clipping distortion (red); a velocity input setting each hit's level; an envelope output, inverted at will.

Key features

  • From 808-inspired sub-bass to distorted kicks; PITCH over two octaves (five as an option), a V/oct input from 0 to 5 V
  • Two drive types, a wavefolder or a high-gain distortion
  • VELOCITY input setting each hit's level, shown by three level lamps
  • GATE mode adding a hold stage, for basslines
  • Switchable 30 Hz 3-pole high-pass filter
  • Pitch lock turning PITCH into an octave switch
  • Envelope output, inverted at will (0-5 or 0-8 V)
  • Store and recall the panel; 16 presets over Select Bus
