Dual stepped CV/Gate recorder
Panel · 61 × 128.5 mm
Description
A 12 HP dual stepped CV/Gate recorder and looper, Shakmat's first module (2014, discontinued): it records two CVs and two gates over 32 steps, a bit like an analog shift register, then plays and mangles the loop.
Key features
- Two CV and two gate inputs recorded on the clock, played back at two CV and two gate outputs
- LENGTH: 32, 24, 16, 12, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2 or 1 steps; SHIFT chooses which segment of the 32 steps is played
- A/B: two sequences, like the two sides of a tape
- CUT: gate out 1 gives a trigger per active step instead of a full gate
- RNDM: plays the segment's steps at random, or records from an internal pseudo-random source
- CV inputs for LENGTH and SHIFT, gate inputs for REC, A/B, CUT and RNDM; inputs and outputs 0 to 5 V
