Description
The modDemix Classic, the first modDemix, holds two identical direct-coupled balanced modulators, used together or apart for ring modulation, VCA, mixing, signal multiplication and voltage controlled polarization. Because it is direct coupled it works at audio rate as a ring modulator and at control rate to multiply voltages, and it turns off around zero volts at its carrier input, which makes it a good VCA.
Key features
- A signal input and an output on each channel, with a carrier/CV input and its STRENGTH attenuator
- Signal 2 IN normalled to Signal 1 OUT, and Carrier/CV 1 IN to Carrier/CV 2 IN, for mod-demod patches
- Both channels summed at SUM OUT, with an AUX input to chain several units into larger mixes
- Eight lamps, four per channel
- Replaced by the current modDemix
