Description

Buchla's 266e Source of Uncertainty, a 200e series module: a general source of musical unpredictability in four sections.

Key features

  • Three noise outputs: -3 dB/octave, musically flat (on two sockets) and +3 dB/octave
  • Fluctuating random voltages A and B, their probable rate of change from .05 to 50 Hz under voltage control
  • Quantized random voltages C and D, changing on pulses, from 2 to 24 states under voltage control, their distribution and time correlation on a button and six lamps
  • Stored random voltages E and F, with skew, degree and chaos under voltage control
