An 8x4 CV-controlled matrix mixer: 32 VCAs into four mixers
Panel · 213.4 × 128.5 mm
Description
A voltage-controlled 8x4 matrix mixer: eight inputs and four outputs, with 32 VCAs and four summing mixers under the hood. The pots set the levels by hand, or CVs set them; it processes audio and CV signals quite happily. The columns are numbered 1 to 8, each fed by the signal input at its foot; the rows lettered A to D, each mixed to its output in the out column. Each VCA has its pot and its CV input at the corner of its cell. Its maker had a lot of trouble getting clean panels for it: assembled modules come with B stock panels, a little dust under the soldermask, hardly noticeable once the hardware is mounted.
Key features
- 32 VCAs, 1A to 8D, each with its pot and its CV input
- Eight signal inputs, one per column
- Four outputs, one per row, A to D
- 42 HP; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel), and ModularGrid lists none
