Description
A bi-directional 8-bit binary counter and clock divider in 6 HP, part of XAOC's Leibniz Binary Subsystem. Clocks at its inputs or its two buttons count up or down; eight gate outputs and eight yellow LEDs show the counter's bits. It runs standalone as an eight-output divider, or drives other Leibniz modules through its data headers.
Key features
- CLOCK INCR., CLOCK DECR. and RESET inputs, at any rate up to audio and above (CMOS logic, no processor)
-
- and − buttons to step the count by hand; both together reset it
- Eight bit outputs, 5 V gates, from bit 0 to bit 7, with a lamp per bit
- The Leibniz clock drives the counter when nothing is patched to CLOCK INCR. (LBZ ON / OFF), pre-scaled 1:256, 1:1 or 1:64K
- Leibniz data in and out headers at the back; an internal clock of about 2 MHz, chosen by a jumper
