FUNCTION

FUNCTION is one channel of MATHS in 8 HP, a small analog computer for musical purposes: triggered or cycling linear, logarithmic or exponential functions from 2 ms to 25 minutes, as envelope, LFO, lag or slew, sample and hold or track and hold, with non-inverted and inverted outputs in place of MATHS's attenuverter.

Key features

• Signal and trigger inputs, RISE, FALL and VARI-RESPONSE with RISE, BOTH and FALL CV inputs
• CYCLE button and lamp for a continuous function (LFO)
• HANG input to stop the function where it stands (S&H, T&H, stepped functions)
• End of Rise and End of Cycle outputs with their bicolour lamp
• Buffered non-inverted and inverted outputs
• Retired; made in a silver panel, then in Black & Gold (2024)
