Kareishuu VCO
Triangle-core VCO with a VCA on its FM
Panel · 50.8 × 128.5 mm
Description
A triangle-core VCO, an upgrade of the NLC Dual OTA VCO drawing on the Electronotes EN1, EN2 and EN3 VCOs, with a VCA built into its FM section. It tracks much better than the Dual OTA VCO, has a sine output and an attenuator on every input. Its self-modulation through the FM VCA gives voltage-controlled waveshaping: the sine and triangle morph towards a pulse. With the stock capacitor it runs from one cycle every 20 seconds to 16 kHz.
Key features
- 1V/OCT, FREQ CV, PWM, FM IN and FM CV in; SQUARE, PULSE, TRI and SINE out
- FREQ (the large knob), FREQ CV, FM GAIN, PW, SELF MOD, FM CV, PWM and FM IN knobs
- 10 HP; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel), and ModularGrid lists none
