MATHS Classic
The first MATHS: function generators, envelopes, LFOs, mixing
Panel · 101.6 × 128.5 mm
Description
The MATHS Classic is the first MATHS (2009 to 2013), in its silver panel with the lightning bolts: an analog computer for voltages after the Buchla 257 and 281 and the Serge DUSG. Channels 1 and 4 scale, invert or integrate a signal, or make rising and falling functions, triggered (envelopes) or cycling (LFOs), from 2 ms to 25 minutes. Channels 2 and 3 scale, amplify and invert a signal, or give an offset with nothing patched. All four are mixed to a SUM and an OR output.
Key features
- Two function generators, with Rise, Fall and a response from logarithmic through linear to exponential
- Rise, Fall and Both control inputs, a Trigger input and a CYCLE button on each
- End of Rise on channel 1, End of Cycle on channel 4
- Two attenuverters that give offsets with nothing patched
- SUM and OR outputs of the four channels; a multiple of channels 1 and 4 kept on the buses
- Retired, followed by the 2013 MATHS
