Mixer

A three-input DC mixer with a 1/4" line output and a headphone amplifier

Nonlinearcircuits · 8 HP · 3U

Panel · 40.6 × 128.5 mm

Description

A simple three-input DC mixer, so it mixes CV as well as audio (probably not at the same time), with a level knob on each input. Its mix comes out at Eurorack level (MIX OUT) and at line level on a 1/4" jack, for an amp or a mixer. A separate headphone amplifier takes PHONES IN through its own level knob to PHONES OUT, for cueing patches live; with nothing in PHONES IN it gets the mix. The phones section also works as an attenuator for audio or CV, and can even boost the level slightly, handy for bringing external sources into the modular. First built as a WAMOD workshop kit.

Key features

  • IN 1, IN 2 and IN 3, each with its level knob, mixed to MIX OUT and to a 1/4" line output
  • A headphone amplifier: PHONES IN, its level knob and PHONES OUT, fed the mix when PHONES IN is empty
  • 8 HP; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel), and ModularGrid lists none
