PI Expander

The Percussion Interface's expander: a choice of three gain ranges, a 6.35 mm input, an amplified audio output and an attenuator on each envelope. Sold only as a pair with the Percussion Interface, 165 USD the pair, with no separate price.

Key features

• L|M|H switch: input gain from 0-2x (modular level) to 0-500x (piezo discs, high-impedance mics)
• 6.35 mm (1/4") mono input, used while the PI's IN jack is free
• Audio Out: the input amplified to modular level, a preamp for microphones
• Env. Out and Inv. Out with their own level knobs, up to 9 V
• No power header: fed by the PI through an 8-pin cable; current shown is the maker's figure with the Expander less the PI's alone (+12 V 35 mA, -12 V 9 mA)
