A voltage controlled variable signal router in 4 HP. At the turn of a single knob, a signal is routed through two external modules in series, in parallel or in reverse series, or any blend in between: fully counter-clockwise the input goes to the left send and the left return feeds the right send, fully clockwise the order is reversed, and at noon both send/return pairs receive the signal at half amplitude (−6 dB) and are mixed into the main output. The pivot parameter also takes a control voltage through its own input and bipolar modulation knob, over a 10 V range. Beyond routing, it works as a complementary pair of linear VCAs, a voltage controlled crossfader or panner, and with feedback patching even as a comparator.
