4ms Company · 12 HP · 3U

Panel · 61 × 128.5 mm

Description

Four LFOs in 12 HP, each set by tapping its Ping button or by an external clock, with a Skew knob and CV morphing its wave from a pluck through ramp-down and triangle to ramp-up.

Key features

  • Four independent channels, each with its own tap-tempo Ping button and Ping clock input; the period runs from about 71 minutes to about 500 Hz
  • The tapped tempo runs on indefinitely; a channel pinged by an external clock stops when the clock stops
  • Skew knob and CV jack set the ratio between rise and fall: pluck at 0 %, ramp-down just above, triangle at 50 %, ramp-up at 100 %
  • Reset jack restarts the wave without changing the tempo; On button mutes or unmutes the channel and lights when it plays
  • A lamp on each channel follows its output, 0 to 10 V or -5 to +5 V by a jumper
  • The built module is discontinued; 4ms sells it as a DIY kit
