Description
The Serge Smooth & Stepped Generator is Random*Source's Eurorack version of the SSG, an essential part of the Serge system since 1979: two slew generators and the Coupler, a comparator between them, patched into lag, portamento, LFO, track-and-hold, sample-and-hold and low-pass filter.
Key features
- Smooth side: slew on rising and falling voltages, a triangle LFO in Cycle mode, track-and-hold through HOLD, a low-pass filter or low-pass gate on audio
- Stepped side: sample-and-hold with voltage-controlled slew through SAMPLE, staircase waves in Cycle mode
- Per side: IN, the OUT, a CYCLE pulse output, RATE and VC RATE with its VC input, CYCLE and EXPO switches, a lamp
- The Coupler's two outputs, COUPLER (unipolar) and HOT (bipolar)
