Description
The Serge Variable Bandwidth Filter (VCF2) is Random*Source's eurorack version of the rarest classic filter of the Serge system: two state-variable filters in series, every output flat, without resonance, so that concrete sounds are processed without a resonant colour.
Key features
- Five outputs: HIGH, LOW 1 and LOW 2, HIGH BAND and LOW BAND at fixed bandwidths, and VAR WIDTH, a band-pass whose bandwidth is set apart from its centre frequency
- Two inputs, IN 1 and IN 2, each with its level
- FREQ and BWIDTH, each with a 1V/OCT input and a CV input with its attenuator (VC F, VC BWIDTH)
- A switch sends the CV controls to the first filter, the second or both
