Description
The Serge Wave Multipliers are Random*Source's Eurorack version of Serge's VCM, licensed by Serge Tcherepnin: three separate wave multipliers that add new, harmonically related overtones to an input, each its own way.
Key features
- Top section: HI squares up the signal with rounded peaks, as an overdriven tube would; LO makes it a linear voltage-controlled amplifier, with GAIN, an IN level and a VC input
- Middle section: a sweep of the odd harmonics as FOLD or its VC input rises, with two inputs mixed before processing
- Bottom section: level-compensated full-wave rectification sweeping the even harmonics, with FOLD and a VC input; OUT 2 is OUT 1 squared up
