Four-band vactrol resonator after the Korg PS-3100

Nonlinearcircuits · 8 HP · 3U

Panel · 40.6 × 128.5 mm

Description

The core of the Korg PS-3100's resonator, with RJB's 2005 mods, grown to four voltage-controlled band-pass stages and given a feedback control. Its CV processing is simplified to op amps driving the vactrols.

Key features

  • Four band-pass stages, FREQ1 to FREQ4, each with its CV input CV1 to CV4
  • CV1, through its CV1 (ALL) knob, moves all four stages
  • Q, the feedback
  • Two inputs, summed; OUT2 is OUT1 inverted
  • 8 HP; current draw as ModularGrid lists it (Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price: it sells the DIY PCB and panel)
